Meet the Founder
Jasmine Ramos Onuzuruike is a God-fearing Afro-Latina, born in New Jersey and raised in Kissimmee, Florida, by a single mother whose strength and hustle shaped her drive early on.
That same drive led her to the basketball court, where her talent earned her a spot at the collegiate level in both Maine and New York. During her first year in Maine, the gap between her upbringing and her teammates' became impossible to ignore, igniting a passion to address these disparities. After two national tournament appearances, she transitioned from athletics to dedicate her life to a new purpose: creating a more equitable future and building a world where people see the fruits of their labor.
Jasmine focused her studies on combating systemic inequities, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of South Florida. She went on to drive meaningful change through electoral work, leading the charge on two historic gubernatorial primary wins in Florida and Arkansas and building innovative nonprofit programs from the ground up. This work eventually led her to Capitol Hill, where the Congressional Hispanic Caucus recognized her as an "Unstoppable Latina Leading the Charge on Capitol Hill."
After a decade in public service, Jasmine established her own firm, Fldn Chairs Consulting, to bring her expertise in community organizing, systems building, and creative problem-solving to complex social issues. The firm is built on the belief that those closest to the issues should be central to shaping solutions.
Jasmine is currently based in Cincinnati with her husband, Anthony, an emergency medicine physician who shares her dedication to serving vulnerable populations. Together, they are committed to making a meaningful impact in the world. Throughout her journey, Jasmine carries the faith her mother raised her in, trusting that the Lord works all things for good (Romans 8:28).
